Bei unseren Recherchen nach „best practice examples“ im Rahmen des Projektes InclusionDes haben wir herausgefunden, dass Radio X in Basel einen sehr hohen Anteil an migrantischen Sendungsmachenden hat. Nun haben wir Tatiana Vieira, die Koordinatorin für die der migrantischen Sendungen aus Basel dazu befragt.
Tatiana stellt uns die Besonderheiten des multikulturellen Programmes des freien Radios in Basel vor. Radio X hat einen ganzen Regenbogen voll mehrsprachiger Sendungen zu bieten! Wie kommt es zu dieser Vielfalt? Zum einen spielt die Kommunikation der Sendungsmachenden untereinander und ihre Motivation für das Sendungsmachen eine große Rolle. Zum anderen ist Radio X bestens vernetzt mit den offiziellen Zuständigen der Stadt für Migrationsfragen. Jede Sendung stellt auf ihrer Blog/Podcast-Seite bei Radio X auch Informationen in den jeweiligen Sprachen für Neuankömmlinge in Basel bereit.
Finanziell sind die Freien Radios in der Schweiz so gestellt, daß sie sich auch etwas mehr Personal leisten können als vergleichbare Radios in Deutschland.
Ebenso ist der Einstieg für MigrantInnen einfacher als bei uns: Das Aubildungssystem in der Schweiz unterscheidet sich von dem in Deutschland sehr. In der Schweiz wird von „Klipp und Klang“, einer externen Organisation, für die Freien Radios unterrichtet. Das Unterrichtsmaterial dafür existiert in verschiedenen Sprachen.

Looking for the „best practise examples“ to our project InclusionDes we did find out that a lot of migrants are broadcasting for Radio X in Basel (Switzerland). Therefore we did interview Tatiana Vieira, the managing director of the migrant radioshows in Basel. Tatiana presents the features of the muticultural programme of Radio X in Basel. Radio X offers a full rainbow of multilingual radioshows. What did make this diversity come about? On one hand the communication of the producers of the radioshows and their own creativity are the main drivers. On the other hand Radio X is practicing a very good networking with the official deputy for migrant issues of the council. Each Radioshow is presenting within its blog or podcast column on the website of Radio x with information in tthe different migrant languages for the Newcomers in Basel.
The community radiostations in Basel get more money as the community radio stations in Germany, so they can afford more staff members facilitating the producers. The access for migrant producers is in Switzerland easier than in Germany. The training is very different to the training in Germany. In Switzerland the training is made by @Klipp & Klang“, an external organisation and the training resources are already available in different languages.
